MIAMI – February 21, 2022 – Falk Waas, a law firm with nearly four decades of experience securing positive results for its clients in the areas of personal injury litigation, medical negligence, wrongful death, premises liability, general liability, auto negligence, trucking liability and healthcare civil litigation, today announced that attorneys David J. Emas, and Anthony M. Alvarez have been elevated to the position of Partner, while Paige I. Saperstein has been promoted to Shareholder.

Saperstein, joined the firm in 2016, became a partner in 2019, and works in the Coral Gables Office. Prior to joining the firm, she served as an Assistant State Attorney for Miami-Dade County for nine years. During her tenure at the State Attorney’s Office, she tried over 35 jury trials ranging from misdemeanors to homicides. Currently, she assists with the handling of medical negligence cases for the firm’s clients. She received her B.A, cum laude from Union College in 2004 and her J.D from Albany Law School in 2007.

Alvarez, an attorney in the firm’s Coral Gables office, handles general liability, premises liability, and auto negligence matters for the firm’s clients. He received his B.S from Florida State University in 2014 and his J.D. from Florida International University in 2017. While in law school, Alvarez also worked as a law clerk for the firm.

Emas joined the firm in 2019. Previously he served as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County. During that time, he tried 30 jury trials in assignments with the Homicide Unit, Traffic Fatality Unit, and the Economic Crimes Division. Emas works in the firm’s Coral Gables Office handling medical negligence and general liability matters. He received his B.A from University of Central Florida in 2010, magna cum laude and his J.D. from University of Florida’s Levin College of Law in 2013.
