Jim Sparkman

Mr. Sparkman is a board-certified civil trial lawyer and is approaching his 400th jury trial. His courtroom experience is largely centered in south Florida, but also includes most major cities across our state, as well as the U.S. Virgin Islands. He has argued before the Florida Supreme Court and is a two-time winner of the prestigious Golden Gavel award from the insurance industry.

Jim has focused on insurance defense law since 1984. He ran his own firm for 12 years, earning “AV Preeminent” distinction from Martindale Hubbell in 2001. His focus has been in automobile negligence, slip and fall, premises liability, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death.

He is a University of Tennessee Volunteer and earned a B.S. in Journalism and M.S. in Education, before graduating from Nova Southeastern University with a Juris Doctor degree.
