Scott L. Mendlestein Named New Managing Shareholder

Scott L. Mendlestein, Esq. has been named managing shareholder. Mr. Mendlestein joined the firm in 2001, developing an expertise in claims involving medical negligence, sexual assault, premises liability, auto negligence, and trucking liability. He advises the firm’s healthcare clients on Amendment 7 issues and patient safety organizations (PSOs), and has lectured throughout the country on these issues. Mr. Mendlestein has been recognized by Florida Super Lawyers magazine and has received a Martindale-Hubble® AV Peer Review Rating. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and serves on the Executive Board of ABOTA’s Miami Chapter. In his new role as managing shareholder, Mr. Mendlestein will focus on ensuring the long-term success of the firm by overseeing day-to-day operations. One of Mr. Mendlestein’s primary focuses is to develop junior lawyers in order to bring continuity to clients for generations to come. Norman Waas, the previous managing shareholder for the past 16 years, will resume his role as a shareholder and litigate medical malpractice cases.
